STATEN ISLAND RAPID TRANSIT

The Staten Island Rapid Transit was originally operated by the B&O Railroad. The all of these photos were taken before and just after the MTA took control of the line.

		This photo was sent to me by former New Yorker Dave Keller. He says it was taken in 1950 or so. Thanks for the scan Dave. Gerry Weber a lifelong Staten Islander says it's on the mainline at the Richmond Valley Station. He also said he knew the fellow who lived in the house next the station. Here is a modern shot (looking the other way)
